Programs Director, Donna Shostak, has recently stepped down from her position on the board of the Beverly Heights Community League.
Donna has been one of our most dedicated volunteers working long hours at the hall. She was never afraid to swing big and swing often in her attempts to engage the community. She maintained a successful yoga program, kids' hip-hop classes, and created the Beverly Gardening Group. Her Easter Egg Hunt and Spookiest House Contest were perennial neighbourhood favourites.
Most recently, Donna planned and executed our very first Pride Celebration. Over 200 people attended and the event raised over $1000 for Camp Dragonfly!
At the Volunteer Appreciation Event this April, the league recognized Donna's dedication with a Volunteer of the Year Award. We now wish her all the best in her future endeavours.
Donna, may you have a long and relaxing summer filled with sunshine and raspberries. We will all keep an eye out for you and Maggie racing down the streets every evening!
