Wow. What a day!
So many thanks to all of the volunteers and community members who came out to our Community League Day 60th Anniversary Edition. You all made the afternoon so special and we appreciate every one of you.
Because of you, Beverly and Rundle Heights is the very best place to live!
Here's a note from Deborah Miville, our membership director:
"Huge thank you to
- Strathcona Industrial Association for their generous donation that funds a great portion of our event. Without them our event wouldn't be possible.
- EPCOR for dropping off their water truck to hydrate our members, visitors and neighbourhood wanderers.
- Sheldon's No Frills for donation of wieners, condiments and juice boxes.
- The Italian Bakery for helping with hot dog buns.
- Auntie Bev's for the delicious cupcakes...the GF ones were greatly appreciated by the few folks for whom gluten is an issue. They felt included!
- Alex and the Beverly Business Association loaned us their flags, weights for the photo booths, and water jug and helped us connect with our area organizations.
- All our neighbourhood partners who came out and shared what they do: NCSA and Kisnimi-ti program, EPL, Girl Guides and Scouts. E4C, Candora and Auntie Bev's, and The Olde Towne Beverly Historical Society.
- Our own programs: Variety Show, BASS, Fundraising/Craft show, Yoga, Hip Hop, Garden Group, and CGSA soccer!
Together, you all made our 60th Anniversary really something!"
