Thanks to EPCOR's Rainwise Rebate Program, the league is installing 4 large rain totes at the hall. The water will be used to nurture our wildflower garden as it gets established as well as help us care for the existing shrub and perennial beds. Our resident gardeners are sure looking forward to using an onsite source of water instead of lugging buckets from home!
Thanks to the recent rains, the three totes already in place are full! That's 3000L of water available once we return to our regularly scheduled drought (and you know it'll happen!).
In the meantime, our Partners in Parks team has been busy tending the shrubs beds surrounding the hall. Only a few plants were lost this spring and those only because someone drove over one of the beds. The plants have all been donated by local gardeners.
